July's Driver of the month wasn't sure if Driver was the spot for him. Being the 1st ever Heroic Specialist, He could have went either way. But in the end, like a true admin, he made the right call!

Wednesday July 1, 2009   July 1st a sad day (But Zorns Birthday month)

Well, the Hog off is over. Hopefully it ran alot smoother for every body this year. You all can see the winner already, but we will be announcing the winners and the prizes in a more official way soon.

I hope everyone had fun this year and got in a good amount of Wheelmen. The Hog Off represents two things, we were still around to have a 2nd Annual event and we're still going strong.

Also with the birth of this year's Hog off brings us the Challenge section. We'll be able to have weekend events, monthly events, and all other kinds of challenges.

Thanks to everyone who Participated. Also I'd like to thank Brick and Rob for their parts in making this work. They made me forget that it was even running at times.

Keep Hogging.

Monday May 18, 2009   HogOff 2009

As promised the June 2009 Hog-Off opens today. To register please visit : http://www.h3wheelmen.com/statistics/challengeSignup.php

If you have trouble registering please ensure the following:

1.) Please ensure that you are in the GGG.
2.) Please be logged into the forums.
3.) If it is still telling you that you are not in, please resign into the forums and ensure that the Checkbox for "Log me in upon every visit" is checked.

If you are still having issues please contact Zorn or BrickFungus.

Now a little information. The Annual Hog Off was started last year and given a very rough run. In order to make everything go more smooth this year we will be doing everything automatically through stat trackers and scripts. There will be a nice flash button added to the main page where you can click and find daily rankings. All you will need to do this year is register and rack up the Wheelmen and Gunner kills. As for some rules and how it will operate:

1.) Participants must be in the GGG or higher.
2.) All rules of the Code of Conduct shall be followed. Any complaints againt you that we find to be valid will automatically remove you from the competition.
3.) If we hear of any objective holding the participants will be removed from the competition and barred from participating in any future events until such a time that the administraton sees fit.

How the Hog Off will run:

1. Sign up opens May 19th.
2. On May 31st we will have Opening Day that will consist of an Anti-Hog day. This is strictly for fun and optional.
3. On Junes 1st the Hog Off will begin. Unlike last year we will be tracking stats automatically. There will be leaderboards for the month located on the Home page. All the players will have to do this year is rack up Wheelmen and Gunner kills.
4. The competition will end on the last day of June. Prize handouts and prizes will be determined at a later date.

Prizes have been determined but I will not be posting them until mid-June. I will also be opening up the Hog Off section of the forums and posting this there. Inside you will find a copy of this post and a place to ask questions. If you have any questions please post them there. However if you feel the need you may PM Zorn through the forums to ask also, but please restrain it to the forums so other members can reference them and find any answers they may seek.

Remember, the registration will end on May 31st at 11:59 Pacific Standard Time.

Happy Hogging.

Friday May 8, 2009   Good news and not so good news

Hey guys, well as we can see from Zorns previous news update the 2009 annual Hog off is coming up in the next few weeks. Therefore the next three weeks are a great time to get together and gel with your driver or gunner and work on optimizing your potential for this event. Its going to be a lot tougher this year with the influx of hundreds of new talented members to the H3WM community, good luck and good hoggin. Bear in mind that there are 'gifts' and shiny things for the top spots.

Ok not much else on the positive side to write of at this time... Sad face i hear you cry. Don't worry there are still plenty of things going on behind closed doors, the fully functional stat tracker is still under development which will allow for, amongst other things, the Ground Pounder ranks to be polished and tidied up a bit. The Structure of the site is always being tweaked and the Admins are thinking of ways to improve and help people navigate the site with ease.

So onto the not so sweet news. Over the past few weeks we as a community seem to have been plagued with notifications regarding unsportsmanlike conduct, breaching the Code of Conduct. If you sign up to be part of the Good Gamers Group (the orange group) then you agree to follow this code. Breaches of the code aren't tolerated here and you will be warned. After warnings comes suspension, so if you find yourself suspended from the orange, blue or green groups then you might want to reread what you originally agreed to.

We as a community take some responsibility over anyone who is a member of the orange group or higher so you don’t only do yourself a dis-service you affect the rest of the community also. Now onto the "registered users" the pink people out there, who don’t wish to become orange as they enjoy parts of game play that aren't accepted as part of the Code of Conduct and are deemed as 'less than respectful'. That’s fine, we take no responsibility for members in matchmaking that have not accepted the code of Conduct. However, what we DO still expect from the "pink" members is to follow parts of the code of conduct when using the forums. Duchebaggery is not accepted on the h3wm.com website, we expect people to behave reasonably respectful here on these forums, offenders will be dealt with in a similar manner to the Code of Conduct breakers.

If still unsure, or you just need a refresher click me

This brings me to another subject. The use of H3WM in your xbox gamertag. If you haven't asked F Bobby whether you can change it, or are not a part of the Blue "wheelmen" group then please don’t change your gamertag to contain it, whilst we cant force you to remove it, you will be asked and potentially removed from the forums. Please respect this tag, that’s all we ask.

Sorry to go on and on and on, I hate to type this, however if people didn't break the rules that they've agreed to then I wouldn't have to.

So - thanks for reading, and we look forward to the month of June and to many many Wheelmen medals, LAAG and Gauss kills throughout the weeks to come.
