H3WM Rogue Jedi
Combined Wheelmans: 4927

LouieBlack: Congratulations on being voted Dual Member of the Month Jedi!! I appreciate the speedy response with the interview, very nice. We've got a few questions lined up for you so all of us can get to know you a little better. After all that's why we voted for ya!!
Introduce yourself! How old are you, where are you from, and what do you do for a living? You got pix?

H3WM Rogue Jedi: I am currently 22, though as of Sept. the 9th, I will be 23. Of course when I think about my age, I like to use the Indiana Jones quote "It's not the years, it's the mileage", simply because I really do feel much older. When you stand up and your knees crack and pop, or you have bad back pains from nothing you can even remember, you start to feel a bit older that 22  :?

I was actually born in West Virginia purely because Maryland didn't allow in-home births with mid-wives at the time, but I didn't spend more than a few days there. I lived in Maryland for over 21 years, right up until I moved to California over a year and a half ago.
I currently work at a Walgreens, where I manage two high-traffic retail departments in a high-volume store, as well as being "the most profitable" photo technician in the store, meaning I pull in more photo orders and photo revenue than any other photo tech.

As for pix, I don't have pics...but I will after Dallas  :D  ::bump::  Check back in November!

LB: How did you find H3WM? What brought you to our vast greatness?

Jedi: I actually found the site while doing some completely unrelated research into some Halo weaponry...more specifically, whether the turret on the chain hog was a real weapon. I found out that it was, though normally it is mounted on a particular NATO chopper the designation for which I cannot recal. Anyway, somewhere in the course of my investigation I stumbled across this place. I already loved to use the hog, and a buddy of mine from real life that used to play with me would gun for me most of the time, occasionaly I would even get my brother to play as a guest to do so. They both lost interest in Halo, but I stuck with it, and along with many of the people here, still enjoy playing the game that brought us all together in the first place. As it turns out, the timing brought me in just after the initial Bungie rush, though I avoided that place like the plague so I didn't see any mention of the site there.

LB: What games are you currently playing? Which is your favorite? What game do you play most with other H3WM?

Jedi: Of course I still play Halo 3, and I've gotten back into Borderlands as more and more people look for something other than Halo to play in this, the final month before Reach. Occasionally I'll even fail at some Halo Wars, though Halo 3 is definitely the game I play most with other Wheelmen. As for games beyond the 360, I played the crap out of Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, and love RPG's in general, even pen and paper ones (what an archaic term now lol). Picking a favorite game is harder, I think I'd have to go with KOTOR 2, simply because I can get horrendously frustrated with Halo 3, but I can play KOTOR 2 for hours and feel nothing but joy.

LB: What's the funniest/coolest thing you can remember doing /seeing on XBL? How about with other H3WM?

Jedi: Some of the funniest stuff I've seen on XBL has occured during some of our CHAOS! custom games. Anybody who hasn't experienced CHAOS! really needs to. As for personal achievements, the one that stands out most in my mind is my Overkill laser shot on footsoldiers, no vehicles. Though it is a bit old now, the Night Crew Montage holds some of the finest moments in Halo 3 gaming I've had...or at least that I've had clipped.

LB: Give us something personal that's happened to you in Real Life that you typically would only share with close friends. Anything embarrassing, funny or bad-ass you wanna dish out?

Jedi: I've come within half an inch or roughly one and a half pounds of exta force from killing somebody. During some full-contact sparring (just training, not a tournament or anything) I aimed a Side Kick at my opponents upper chest. Through a combination of angles (he was about 6 inches taller than me, so I had to angle me kick pretty high), slick surfaces (both of our chest guards were soaked in sweat), and a poorly timed duck reflex on his part, my kick slid right up his chest guard and under his chin, landing right on his larynx. Thankfully, most of the force was bled off when I hit his chest, but if I'd aimed a little bit higher, things would have ended alot worse. Any time people joke about how they'd like this person to die, or how that person should be dead, I remember how I saw him on the ground, clutching his neck, how worried I was that I'd killed one of my buddies (we'd known each other for two years), how I'd almost accidentally ended a life...it changes your outlook on things like that for sure.

LB: Outside of H3WM.com, what other websites keep your attention? Where do you spend your free "surfin" time?

Jedi: Occasionally, I will visit B.net if somebody links a specific thread. I visit Halocharts a bit more often for the stats and HaloSphere, and if I'm really bored I'll head to Kongregate.com. For the most part though, if I am online, I am here.

LB: Where would YOU like to see this community in 6 months? A year?

Jedi: I don't really know...I'd like to see us being at least as active if not more so both within the GGN and in XBOX Live activities in general. Sometimes when I look at the "My Community" blade of the Dashboard and see the community playdates with specific groups or clans, I think "Maybe we should have one of those someday". Overall though, I like our little corner of the interwebs as it is...good people, good topics, and a minimum of trolling. We've got amazing image guys, some dedicated moderators (including myself now...YAY!) to keep the spam-bot crap to a minimum, hard working staff for all of the "Behind the Scenes" stuff, and an owner that likes ponies! I mean come on, what more could you ask for  ::lol::

LB:If you had the keys to Consumed's Ban-hammer for one day, what would you do with it's all mighty powa?

Jedi: I'd ban the entire state of Texas...forum activity would be down to nothing  ::lol::
Just kidding, I'd probably do exactly what I currently do, just with a little bit more power behind the position. I really am a nice guy, so you have to work to piss me off. Just remember though, if I want somebody banned, I can just call up Consumed  ::twisted::

LB: Time for some shout-outs! Who's got your back around here? Why?

Jedi: Four people stand out above all of the others for me...Consumed, Zer0, Duce, and Laughlyn. I've had more fun with these guys on a wide variety of games, or just plain conversations, than is reasonable considering we've never actually "met". When November rolls around and we all meet in Dallas...epic shenanigans shall ensue.

I <3 you guys   ::wheel::  ::bump::  ::collab:
